It is possible to hide the blog from other people and share the material only between the students and the teacher. There can be several subpages for different topics.
WHICH: When using Blogger, you will need Google accounts. If you have GSE in your organisation, there may be restrictions for minors. When using WordPress, there are no similar age limits. It is easiest to use blogs with a computer.

WHY: To study goal-directed during distance teaching, to learn to collaborate online, to practice Google Sites, to increase professionality.
WHO: A group of 11 students of catering and restaurant services. Aged over 16. The digital skills varied.
WHAT: A group had a webpage (in Google Sites) where each student had their own subpage. Each student chose one recipe they had tried at home during distance teaching and put it on the webpage. This made the distance studying more meaningful and taught new digital skills. Also collaboration skills improved.
WHICH: Each student needs a computer – and some of the students prefererred to work with a mobile device.
HOW: Try sites.google.com for free. You will only need a Google account. It is possible to produce professional looking webpages.

WHY: To get to know a real working environment in advance, to learn basics of customer service in a motivating and immersive way, to learn basic Finnish related to customer service and working in a shop.
WHO: Suitable for SNE students, ages 16 and over. Matin päivä must be used individually with a headset, but it is possible to share the headset view. You can also use the environment with a computer.
WHAT: Those who can’t visit the real-life working environment, can visit it in virtual reality. The environment gives possibility to rehearse customer service in advance, which suits especially those students, who find it hard to be in contact with unfamiliar people. VR environment is very immersive, so it is easy to concentrate. Game-like activities make studying motivating.
WHICH: You can use any VR material with VR headset, but if you don’t have the headset, you can use VR material with your computer. If you want to create VR material, you need a 360 camera.
