WHAT: A ready-made internet form which the students can fill
WHY: The students learn to use a computer and e-mail, because the link to the form is sent by mail.
WHO: Students in preparatory training for independent living. The students can usually use computers, but logging in may need rehearsing.
WHAT: It is very easy to create exercises that include pictures, multiple choice questions, links etc. For a student it is easy to fill in an internet form.
WHICH: Each student needs a computer or a mobile device.
HOW: Try forms.google.com for free. You will need a Google account, but the students can fill in the forms even without logging in.
WHY: It is a shared knowledge platform, in which the professionals (who have the specific knowledge) create the content and share it with other professionals. The pedagogical objective is to provide professionals with an accessible environment where they can find all the information/training that will help them in their daily work and allow them to promote internally.
WHO: It is for all the people hired in the entity, both for technicians and for people with support needs. We currently have more than 120 contents uploaded to the platform.
WHAT: We have adapted training that allows them to access the knowledge they need to develop in their job.
WHICH: It is responsive; it can be accessed through Smartphone, tablet and PC.
HOW: Each person is enrolled in the training courses that they are obliged to attend. When they enroll, they receive an email with the course link. Access is through the user (email) and the same Windows password. The tool sends notifications if the person does not complete the mandatory training. On the other hand, each person can choose, from the other training courses, other content that may be of interest to them.

WHO: The example has been used with students of cleaning services, suitable for SNE students, ages 16 and over.
WHAT: Thinglink picture serves as an orientation to a new task, in this case window cleaning. It is possible to learn about the tools that are needes for the task and go through the task with pictures and videos in advance. You can also rehearse after doing the task IRL. There is different kind of material for different learners: pictures, videos, small exercises.
WHICH: You can use Thinglink pictures with a computer or with a VR headset.

WHY: It is easier for students to remember what to do next, when there is a picture of each step of a task. The pictures and the text complete each other.
WHO: The example is from the material for the students of cleaning services.
WHAT: Students can check from the visual instruction what to do next. Teachers can concentrate on guiding those students who need a lot of help, while some of the students get the guidance they need from the pictures.
WHICH: Camera, computer/mobile phone, the example was made with Word
HOW: There are several ways to create visual instructions. You can take the pictures yourself or use suitable pictures found online. You can build the instructions with several programs and print them, or you can share the instructions on a website, in a Whatsapp message or on a learning platform.
The example has been printed and attached to a toilet wall, so it is easy to follow the instructions while working. In the beginning the students clean only this toilet, and when the process is clear, they start working with other toilets.
