EVALUATION
Evaluation during the training
Digi Teachers Training consists of three modules. Each module will be evaluated and if the module is accepted, an Open Badge is issued.
Evaluation will be done with tasks during the training. Tasks are created so that they will benefit the teachers and they can be taken directly in their own work. Modular tasks form a whole, the result of which can be taken directly to teaching.
If the tasks are accepted, the teacher will be issued an Open Badge – one for each module.

Modules
Training consists of three modules. Each module covers certain special areas of expertise.
- Digital resources
- Selecting digital resources
- Creating and modifying digital resources
- Managing, protecting, and sharing digital resources
- Teaching and learning
- Teaching
- Guidance
- Collaborative learning
- Self-regulated learning
- Empowering learners
- Accessibility and inclusion
- Differentiation and personalisation
- Actively engaging learners
Task: Digital resources
Choose a digital resource to use with your students, their parents, and others.
You can carry out this task as a document, presentation, video or in some other way – whichever is most useful to you.
- Choose at least one digital resource to use to support and enhance teaching and learning of your students. State reasons for your decision by answering the following questions:
- How does this resource support learning objectives?
- How does it support pedagogical approach?
- How is this resource licenced?
- How easy is it to take into use (teachers, students, parents, others).
- How accessible is the resource for your students? Are there some challenges?
- Does the resource need modifying and if, how would you modify it?
- What kind of copyright rules or licences would you use?
- Get familiarised with the privacy policy of the resource. Add a link to the privacy policy.
- Return the task according to the instructions to DigiTeachers project´s contact person.
Task: Teaching and learning
Continue the work started in module 1 by creating an implementation plan and instructions for the chosen technology.
You can carry out this task in a way that is most useful to you (a document, presentation, video, introducing an existing solution or some other way).
- Make an implementation plan on how to use the chosen technology. If you have already implemented digital technology to your teaching, you can describe an existing solution. Remember to tell, in what kind of situation(s) you plan to use or have used the technology, eg. classroom, on the job, online, hybrid. Consider at least the following points:
- What kind of content would / does it contain?
- Which devices could be used with the chosen technology (computer, tablet, smart phone, other)? Which would you recommend?
- How does this technology help interaction with your students, parents, or other educators? Think about both individual and collective situations. Also think about situations both within and outside of the classroom.
- How does the chosen technology help collaboration with other target groups?
- How can you use the chosen or other digital technologies to support self-regulated learning and provide evidence of progress?
- Which digital technology or technologies have you taken to use and how does your implementation plan support your work?
- Create a short introduction and instructions on how to use the resource.
Return the task according to the instructions to DigiTeachers project´s contact person.
Task: Empowering learners
Again, you can continue the work done in modules 1 and 2. You can either continue with your implementation plan or report on how you use empowerment when using digital technologies of your choice. You can carry out this task in a way that is most useful to you (a document, presentation, video, introducing an existing solution or some other way).
- Continue your implementation plan or describe an existing solution. Consider at least the following points:
- How is accessibility and inclusion acknowledged in your teaching processes, especially when thinking about the digital technologies and resources?
- What are the most important points you consider when choosing new solutions?
- How to make sure that all students know how to use the chosen resources in the best possible way?
- How do you keep updated with accessibility guidelines and legislation?
- Give an example of a digital technology you have used with your students, for example a quiz or game.
- Explain how this solution helps to personalising tasks, tools, levels, or speed for individual students.
Return the task according to the instructions to DigiTeachers project´s contact person.
